Advanced Audition Requirements

All auditions for 2025-2026 will include three components: scales, a solo piece of your choice, and a prepared excerpt (found below). Please understand that the audition committee may choose to omit some items during the actual audition.

July 31st: Students auditioning for All-State (and siblings)

August 4th & 7th: Intermediate and Advanced Groups

Violin & Viola-

C major and D Major Scales (two octaves) 

F major scale (one octave)

C major and D Major Scales (2 or more octaves) 

F major scale (2 or more octaves) 

G major scale (2 or more octaves) IF ABLE

Snare rudiments:
