WFHEMA offers quality group music instruction, performance outlets, and competition opportunities to homeschool, private school, and public school students aged 7-18. While all of these benefits make this a worthwhile investment, perhaps the greatest benefit is watching your child develop a love for music that will last a lifetime.

Classes are held at First Baptist Church Pensacola, 500 N Palafox, Pensacola, FL 32501.
Fees
We accept cash, checks, and online payments for the 2026-2027 school year.

Registration Fee: $250 for one student, $350 for two or more. When registering, you will have the option to choose to fundraise $150 of the registration fee during the school year. This fee is paid online at the time of registration.

$90 per month for 1st child for one class.

$70 per month for additional children in the same family.

$40 per month for each additional group (per child).
*If you are using the PEP or UA scholarships, we are happy to provide all needed invoices and documentation for you to be reimbursed. Please just let us know you would like this after you have registered.
Fundraising
When registering, you will have the option to fundraise $150 of your family's registration fee. You may select from the following two options:

Participate in the WFHEMA fundraiser (After the event, if you do not meet the $150 goal, the shortage is due by the end of March.)

Five $30 payments, due with tuition, September - January
Updated Schedule for 2026-2027
Our classes meet twice a week at First Baptist Church in Pensacola. Students are required to attend both days.
Classes begin August 10th, 2026.
Elemental Music (ages 8-9, some previous music experience): 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday and Thursday
*Additional class times may be added depending on the number of registered students. Parents will be contacted.
**Parents may be required to purchase a recorder. Parents will be notified.
***Students must meet age requirements by September 1st.
Fundamental Music (ages 7-9, no previous music experience): 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday and Thursday

The above Intro to Music Class schedules might change based on registration and needs. Parents will be notified if this occurs.
*Students in Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced are required to provide their own instruments*
Intermediate Band: 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday and Thursday
Intermediate Strings: 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday and Thursday
Advanced Band: 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday and Thursday
Advanced Strings: 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday and Thursday
Symphonic Orchestra: 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday and Thursday
Beginner Band (ages 10+, no previous music experience required): 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday and Thursday
Beginner Strings (ages 10+, no previous music experience required): 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., Monday and Thursday
*Students ages 8-9 by audition and director's discretion only.
**Students must meet age requirements by September 1st.
Auditions are required for all Intermediate and Advanced groups.
Auditions for All-state students (and their siblings) will be held in person on a date TBD.
Auditions for all other students will be via video recordings emailed to homeschoolbandandstrings.com.
Orientation is scheduled for August 7th at 6:00 p.m.
